After the shock ending of Only Murders in the Building in season one, fans have been eager for the sho’ws return. But, worry not, sit back and get ready, because this murder-mystery turned comedy is coming back to our screens on June 28 on Disney+.
What is Only Murders in the Building?
Season one of Only Murders in the Building focuses on a luxury apartment complex in New York City. Three strangers realise they all have an obsession with true crime and, after a murder occurs in their building, the group quickly find themselves in an actual true crime situation.
Using all the skills they have learnt from their true crime podcasts, the trio follow up suspects and try to find evidence. However, they come to realise that each of them have been telling lies and now can they even trust each other?
When it transpires that the killer may live amongst them, they need to find out who it is, before the killer gets to them.
Season two plot

The new season will revolve around Bunny’s killer and how the trio try to acquit themselves. The official synopsis for this season to is:
‘Following the shocking death of Arconia board president Bunny Folger, Charles, Oliver and Mabel race to unmask her killer. However, three (unfortunate) complications ensue: the trio is publicly implicated in Bunny’s homicide, they are now the subjects of a competing podcast and they have to deal with a bunch of New York neighbors who all think they committed murder.’
Season two cast
The new season of Only Murders in the Building will see the trio we didn’t know we needed back and better than ever. Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short have clubbed back together in order to clear their names in this season.
Many season one regulars are seen in the season two trailer, such as Amy Jan and Nathan Lane.
The teaser trailer also provides us with many new faces. Amongst them are Hollywood faces Amy Schumer (I Feel Pretty) and Cara Delevigne (Suicide Squad).
Other guest stars include Michael Rapaport (Atypical), Shirley MacLaine (Steel Magnolias), Zoe Colletti (Fear the Walking Dead) and Andrea Martin (My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2).

Audiences immediately took to this show. Joel Keller from Decider’s ‘Stream it or Skip it‘ said ‘[He] blew through most of the first eight episodes of Only Murders In The Building that Hulu made available because it was such a funny, comfortable show to enjoy, with the unlikely trio of Short, Martin and Gomez working like a fine-tuned comedic machine.’
Season one of the show has an outstanding 93% audience rating score on Rotten Tomatoes. One reviewer labelled the show ‘A twist-filled plot, with great chemistry between the leads, and solid writing make this show an excellent watch.’
