After two years out, the seaside airshow is back and ready to put on a show.
The free four-day event will take place between August 18-21. It opens at 12pm each day, closing 5.30pm and 6.15pm on Saturday.
This year’s show includes the RAF Red Arrows, RAF Typhoon, Belgian Air Force F-16, Chinook, The Tigers parachute display team, military exhibitions and more.
The recently restored Hawker Tempest will be making its debut, displaying alongside the Hawker Fury which will fly in its new Royal Navy colour scheme.
Plenty to enjoy
Despite being a free four-day event, every penny raised will go towards the upkeep of the airshow for more years to come. With food stalls, exhibitions, games and many more.
Everyday there was be a line up of flights along the beach front for the crowd to enjoy between midday and the early evening.
The event is brought to a close with a Firework Finale on Sunday night at 9pm at the Wish tower. That is an hour earlier than normal. So bring the kids and leave your furry friends at home.
Let’s hope the weather holds up for a few more days to see the magnificent Wing Walkers and colours in the sky. A cloudy day wouldn’t be as fun.
So head on down to Eastbourne this week and enjoy a beach day watching planes fly. You could even grab an ice cream and fish and chips.
Just beware of those swooping seagulls!
