Love Island is one of the most popular reality TV shows to have hit our screens.
In the past five years, it has become some of the most-watched reality TV. But does this show provide long-lasting relationships? The instant fame that the contestants then receive after they leave the villa is shocking. They have suddenly become household names and hugely famous on Instagram, which is not always conducive to maintaining a healthy new relationship.
The opportunity to go on this show means not only potentially finding love but also securing a new career in the public eye.
Some people believe that this is what motivates many contestants to apply, rather than the prospect of actually finding a long-term relationship.
But who are the success stories of recent years, who lasted, who of the winners are still together, and who have started families on their own?
Below are some of the answers to these questions.

Cara and Nathan
These two coupled up in the first episode of Love Island season 2, which came to our screens in 2016.
They were a very popular couple and went on to win.
In 2017 the couple welcomed their first baby boy and, after a short split after the pregnancy, Nathan proposed to Cara in 2018 in the same villa where they had met.
In July 2020 they welcomed their second child and are now married. So this couple definitely seemed to have got their happily ever after.

Jamie and Camilla
Camilla had a turbulent time in the 2017 villa however, as Jamie came in as the bombshell, the two hit it off immediately.
They’ve been together ever since and last year they welcomed their first baby, as well as getting engaged in February.
This is definitely a success story, as the show not only allowed them to meet, but gave them them a chance to start a family.
Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury
Tommy is the younger brother of boxing legend Tyson Fury, and he entered the Love Island villa in 2019.
Tommy and Molly had an up-and-down relationship, yet have proven that they are committed to each other as they still live together today.
Although they did not win the show, finishing runners-up to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea (who broke up weeks after the show), they are still very much in love.
Molly is an extremely popular influencer as well as businesswomen, and she discusses on YouTube the future that she continues to see with Tommy.
Multiple Success Stories
These are just three of the numerous couples who have not only stayed together but have started to build their lives and futures as one.
Other couples include Alex and Olivia, who recently welcomed their first child. Dom and Jess are still together and have also started their family.
This goes to show that, although many couples do not last in the real world, perhaps due to the huge amounts of public attention and pressures, numerous couples have this reality show to thank for their livelihood and their family.
