Lockwood & Co is Netflix’s next thriller series dropping in the new year, but we know what you’re thinking: where have you seen the cast before?
Due to hit the streaming site on January 27, 2023, Lockwood & Co is an upcoming British detective thriller TV show, written and directed by Joe Cornish for Netflix, based on Jonathan Stroud’s book series of the same name.

Netflix’s Lockwood & Co follows the story of a world plagued by ghosts, where giant corporations employ psychic teens to battle the supernatural, only one company operates without adult supervision, and its name is Lockwood & Co.
The organisation is run by Anthony Lockwood, a rebellious young entrepreneur haunted by his mysterious past, his brilliant but eccentric sidekick George and a newly arrived, supremely gifted girl called Lucy, this renegade trio are about to unravel a terrifying mystery that will change the course of history.
The show stars Ruby Stokes, Cameron Chapman, and Ali Hadji-Heshmati, alongside Ivanno Jeremiah, Luke Treadaway, and Morven Christie.
Where you’ve seen the Lockwood & Co cast
Just looking at the cast you may think you’ve seen them before and that’s because Lockwood & Co boast past Bridgerton and Grantchester stars.
First up is Ruby Stokes who, in Lockwood & Co, plays Lucy Carlyle – an extremely gifted girl – but you may recognise her from playing the role of Francesca, the sixth Bridgerton child, in the first two series of Netflix’s period drama Bridgerton.
It was confirmed the East-London-born actress would be leaving the period drama due to scheduling conflicts between Bridgerton and her leading role in Lockwood & Co.
Her two co-stars haven’t been in as big a role as Ruby, but Ali Hadji-Heshmati did star in the 2020 Alex Rider movie and this will be the first big role for the main character Anthony Lockwood who’s played by Cameron Chapman.
Ivanno Jeremiah, however, found fame in the Channel 4 series Humans and even starred in Black Mirror, A Discovery of Witches and Doctor Who.
Luke Treadaway is no stranger to the big screen, he rose in prominence when he played James Bowen in the semi-autobiographical movie A Streetcat Named Bob – and its sequel A Gift From Bob – he also featured in the blockbuster 2010’s reboot of Clash of the Titans.
Morven Christie is a huge British name for the show. She starred in BBC’s The A Word, Grantchester, The Replacement and The Bay.
Also cast are Jack Bandeira, Ben Crompton, Hayley Konadu, Rhianna Dorris, and Paddy Holland.
