Taskmaster is getting bigger and better each year, so it’s no surprise it is already on to its fourteenth series.
The globally-loved gameshow will return to Channel 4 on Thursday 29 September 2022.
As always, at the helm of the show is the fearful ruler and Taskmaster himself, Greg Davis. And his not-so-little, 6-foot-2-inch tall, partner ‘little Alex Horne’ will be right next to him.
Who are the series 14 contestants?
This series will include:
Mock The Week’s Dara O’Briain. The Irish comedian is known for hosting several shows such as The Apprentice: You’re Fired! and The Panel. He was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Entertainment Performance.
Fern Brady is a Scottish writer and comedian. She reached the finals of So You Think You’re Funny at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2011. She is best known for appearing on panel shows like 8 Our Of 10 Cats, The News Quiz as well as Live At The Apollo.
After being awarded Best Newcomer in 2013, John Kearns won the Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award just one year later. Kearns is the current co-hos on Comedy Central’s Guessable.
Munya Chawawa is a British-Zimbabwean comedian and actor, best known for his character’s ‘Unknwon P’ and ‘Jonny Oliver’. He has appeared on shows such as Murking From Home, Race Around Britain and The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.
In 2008, Sarah Millican was awarded Best Newcomer at the Edingburgh Fringe Festival. By 2013, she had been named one of the 100 most powerful women in the UK by Woman’s Hour. Millican is a well-known British comedian who has had many solo tours and frequently appears on comedy panel shows.
What is Taskmaster?
Taskmaster is a British panel game show that sees five comedians and personalities take on ridiculous challenges.
These silly challenges are set by the ’Taskmaster’, Davis and overseen by his right-hand man, Horne.
The show was created by Horne in 2010 for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
He later secured a deal for a television adaptation with Dave. After the shows ninth series, it was moved to Channel 4.
