The App Has Been Great For Him But Does Drake Have TikTok?

Add as preferred source on Google

Drake is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur. He’s a man of many talents and people love dancing to his songs on TikTok. But, even with all his talents, what everyone wants to know right now is: Is he on TikTok?

Does Drake Actually Have TikTok?

The question comes after a verified TikTok account, claiming to be the 35-year-old, commented on a post stating Drake would be pleased now Millie Bobby Brown is 18-years-old.

The Stranger Things actor turned 18 back in February, but she’s been friends with the rapper for a few years.

A video which combined photos with an audio piece from Spongebob Squarepants in which a character says, ‘finally, I’ve been attempting to hook you, lads, all day’, as well as overlay text that read: ‘Drake after Millie’s 18th birthday announcement.’

It just got worse when the verified TikTok account claiming to be Drake commented ‘Looool’ under the video. This subsequently prompted thousands of people to question the account and its answer.

The whole issue was cleared up when a spokesperson for Drake exclusively confirmed to Page Six on Tuesday March 8, the ‘One Dance’ singer does not actually have TikTok.

TikTok Has Been Good For Drake

Although this situation wasn’t ideal for the star, TikTok has served the award-winning artist well over the past few years. For a while it was hard to scroll through the app without seeing someone do the ‘Toosie Slide’ dance or simply mime alone to his songs.

When the ‘Toosie Slide’ song dropped in 2020 the world had just entered the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown was very much in session.

A video for the song showed Drake taking lockdown very seriously as he was stood in a foyer, wearing a face mask, as he danced. It soon became a huge trend for people to post their own videos of them dancing to the tune.

In the song the rapper fully demonstrates the dance as he actually sings the moves you must follow – a bit like the ‘Cha-Cha Slide’ for Gen Z.

‘It goes right foot up, left foot slide / Left foot up, right foot slide,’ Drake sings and dances from his huge Toronto-home lobby.

Since then, there’s been a huge amount of TikTok dances come as snowball effect from the popular trend and the app meant Drake was able to access a huge new audience he maybe wouldn’t have harnessed before.
