The ‘yelling girl’ meme is going crazy on Twitter and is being compared to the iconic ‘guy yelling at girl in club’ meme.

You don’t have to scroll too far through a social media platform to come across a meme – over the last decade they’ve become an integral part of the internet and when they go viral you know they’ve ‘made it’.

Yelling Girl Meme

The ‘yelling girl’ meme went viral this week and has also been called the “bro girl” or “girlsplaining” picture. It basically shows a guy standing at a festival as a girl seems to be shouting in his ear.

Who knows what they were originally talking about but the guy looks completely unimpressed or bored with what the girl has to say to him.

However, the meme isn’t a new kid on the block and has apparently been doing the rounds since 2019.

According to Know Your Meme the earliest use of the image to create a meme was in February 2019 and was tweeted by a user called MemesNutricion. The meme was written in Spanish and essentially is meant to appear like the girl is telling the boy not to trust quick nutrition fixes.

Soon after it was reshared and other versions were rewritten in Spanish and continually shared in Spanish meme circles. But now it’s been picked up in the US and the UK and people are sharing their versions of what they think the girl would be yelling.

Guy yelling at girl in club meme

Some Twitter users are now comparing it to the iconic ‘guy yelling at girl in club’ meme that first started making the round in late 2018.

The ‘guy yelling at girl in club’ meme, which is officially called the ‘milk Edinburgh club photo,’ shows a guy yelling into a girl’s ear in a nightclub. The couple were revealed, according to the Mirror, Patrick Ritchie and Lucia Gorman.

Patrick told the publication: ‘She’s one of my pals from school so she’s probably fed up. She looks like the most bored woman in the world.’

Lucia added: ‘I don’t remember [what he was saying]. Patrick always talks rubbish so it could have been anything.’

Now people are comparing the two memes with one person joking if the pictures were spliced and mixed up the bored couple would be perfect together as would the shouting couple.
