The Cadbury brand is well known across the nation but is especially known amongst University of Birmingham students who live close to the Bournville factory. Cadbury World is a chocolate heaven for everybody to go and enjoy. So whether you just love the taste of free chocolate or want to learn more about the history behind the much-loved brand, then it’s worth the visit! Here are the top 10 reasons why you should go to Cadbury World for all of you who want to live a life like Charlie Bucket!

Free Chocolate Alert

This should be the first thing to tempt you into making a trip to the chocolate factory. On arrival, you’ll be given free bars of Cadbury chocolate! Sounds good, right? Well, there’s more where that came from. About mid-way into your experience, you’ll be given a pot of melted chocolate that is just one of the best things you will ever taste. It’s got to be the best part of the trip and is the part I look forward to each time.

There Will Be Lots of History to Enjoy

You’ll be taken down memory lane as you visit a recreation of the old streets of Bournville. With this, you’ll learn all about the history of chocolate and the history of the Cadbury brand. My favourite part of this is looking at all of the old chocolate bar packaging. Some of the old bars should have a resurrection because they look amazing! Interestingly, you’ll also be able to look at some of the old Cadbury adverts and follow them throughout the years.

You Can Write Your Name in Chocolate

Ever wondered how the chocolatiers personalise chocolate? Well, you’ll be able to try this out for yourself as you get given a tube of melted chocolate to practice writing your name with. Not only can you create a chocolate masterpiece but the smell of the melted chocolate is out of this world.

You’ll Gain an Insight into Factory Life

There’s a lot of hard work that goes into making a bar of Dairy Milk, believe it or not! From starting off as a cocoa bean to being wrapped by a machine, you can gain an insight into the workings of a real chocolate factory and watch the workers in actions. If you want to follow the process of making chocolate goodies, then you’ll be in the best place for it.

There’s a Fun Ride to Go On

Who needs a theme park when you have Cadbury World’s own, chocolate themed ride. You’ll sit in a cute car as you are taken on an adventure through the world of the cocoa bean. It’s such a cute ride and actually lasts for a couple of minutes, with there being a photo opportunity on ride too.

There’s a Green Screen For Fun Photos

Up for taking some cringe-worthy photos? You can do this at Cadbury World as you stand in front of a green screen and have your picture taken by a photographer. There will be a chance to have your photo on the front of a Cadbury Dairy Milk wrapper or see yourself standing in a chocolate bathtub! How fun!

There Are Chocolate Works of Art

It’s not every day that you can see the Birmingham Bull made entirely out of chocolate. There are so many chocolate sculptures and creations that are exclusive to Cadbury world that you will be snapping away in amazement. It amazes me how works of art can be made out of pure chocolate and I’m sure that you will feel the same!

Cadbury 4D Cinema, anyone?

Cadbury’s 4D cinema is pretty cool. You can sit back and put your special 4D glasses on whilst going on a journey of a lifetime! You’ll be transformed into a cocoa bean as you follow a rollercoaster track, with your seats moving along the way. You’ll also get to meet the iconic Cadbury bunny and parrot too!

The Cadbury Shop Is What Dreams Are Made Of

At the end of your adventure at the chocolate factory, you have the chance to go into the Cadbury shop. This is filled with Cadbury merch and, of course, Cadbury chocolate. You can get all of those limited edition and exclusive to Cadbury World choccies, in a shop that is a chocolate lover’s dream! Oh, and if you come across a bag of mis-shapes, be sure to pick them up. They are a bargain!

You’ll Leave Feeling Like Charlie Bucket

I bet you’ve dreamed of going to a chocolate factory ever since you watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, right? Well, I can’t promise that you’ll find chocolate rivers and bubble-gum trees at Cadbury World, but you will have an amazing day out. Free chocolate and interactive rides? You’ll be feeling like you’ve won the golden ticket!
