Fans of The Simpsons will be ‘happier than ever’ as Billie Eilish is starring in a new short, When Billie Met Lisa, on Disney+.
It was announced yesterday, Thursday April 14, a new The Simpsons short, featuring Oscar and Grammy Award-winning artists Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, will premiere Friday, April 22, exclusively on the streaming site.

In the new short, When Billie Met Lisa, Lisa Simpson is discovered by chart-topping artists Billie Eilish and FINNEAS while searching for a quiet place to practice her saxophone.
The press release reads: ‘Billie then invites Lisa to her studio for a special jam session she’ll never forget.’
Although the 20-year-old hasn’t specifically commented on her upcoming role she did share the news on Twitter.
Finneas, however, shared a tweet of the news with the caption ‘bucket list’, implying starring on the long-running animated sitcom was on his and had been ticked off.
With the stars featuring alongside the saxophone-playing eight-year-old – and from the Disney+ artwork showing Billie in a recording booth – it can only be assumed viewers will get to hear the performers belt something on the show.
It, of course, wouldn’t be the first time stars have featured on, and performed on, the show over the years. In the past NSYNC, Lady Gaga, Sir Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, and The Who have all offered their musical talents to The Simpsons since its beginnings in 1989.
The Simpsons shorts on Disney+
When Billie Met Lisa is the fourth in a collection of The Simpsons shorts created exclusively for Disney+ highlighting the service’s marquee brands and most popular content, according to the streaming site.
Other shorts have included Simpsons family members enter the Star Wars and Marvel universes with Maggie Simpson in The Force Awakens from Its Nap and The Good, The Bart, and The Loki. The most recent short The Simpsons in Plusaversary was released on November 12, 2021, in celebration of Disney+ Day.
