In a tweet posted on Monday, the official Bob’s Burgers account confirmed that the series has been renewed for a thirteenth season.
The tweet stated: ‘The next season is right around the corner peeps’. The show is currently about to wrap up its 12th season, with the finale set to air on May 22.
Bob’s Burgers stars the likes of H. Jon Benjamin as Bob, Kristen Schaal as Louise, John Roberts as Linda, Eugene Mirman as Gene and Dan Mintz as Tina. On average, the show is usually around 22 episodes per season. It is also notorious for guest stars, such as Adam Driver, Paul Rudd and Jon Hamm.
Fans of the program are in for a treat this year, as The Bob’s Burgers Movie is out in cinemas on May 27. The movie follows the family as a sinkhole erupts in front of the restaurant, ruining Bob’s plans for the summer. Of course the film will include the kids and the carnage they cause, as well as the adventures they embark on. The trailer is promising for an action-packed watch that fans of the series will love.
The series has won two Emmys for Outstanding Animated Program. Season four’s ‘Mazel-Tina’ won in 2014, and season seven’s ‘Bob Actually’ won in 2017. It has also received ten other nominations, including Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for John Roberts as Linda.
It is not yet known when season 13 will premiere, but it expected to be some time in autumn. New series of Bob’s Burgers usually air in America in mid to late September.
