The university year is finally over! After a tough year, we expect that any of you are in need of a vacation, however, there is still money to consider. Luckily, we have collected some cheap holiday destinations perfect for students in need of a break.
All your exams are done and final assessments have been handed in. Finally, it’s time to relax and not worry about university for a couple of months. And what would make that thought even better? Doing it on a nice sunny beach or doing some city sightseeing.
However, just because uni is over for a year, doesn’t mean that your money is limitless. Sure, we’ve suggested some fun temporary jobs for students over the break, but that doesn’t help you in the immediate future.

- Salou, Spain: £96
You can expect to see Spain pop up a couple of times on this list, but our first stop is in Salou. Fly into the bustling city of Barcelona and you’re only an hour or two away from the exotic beaches of Salou. There are plenty of beaches to enjoy here as well as being the host of PortAventura if you’re after a little fun.
- Budapest, Hungary: £56
If it’s a city break you’re after, then perhaps Budapest is for you. The capital of Hungary, there is plenty of history to soak up here. With castles, museums and churches, this is the perfect trip if you can shake off the need to learn.
- Amsterdam, The Netherlands: £76
There is so much to offer in Amsterdam. Huge amounts of history and culture, world-renowned cuisine and plenty of canals for you to stroll down on a peaceful afternoon. Plus, if flying isn’t your thing, you can get here by Eurostar!

Cheaper than Ibiza, Malaga has quickly become a student hot stop for cheap holidays during the summer. This combines the party life of the city whilst only being a short trip from gorgeous beaches for some much-needed relaxing.
Plus, there are loads of free sightseeing opportunities in Malaga, which will really help that student budget.

There is something for everyone in Berlin. A great party scene, huge amounts of history everyone every corner. Plus, there are some stunning lakes and rivers for some hangover picnics of early morning strolls.
There are lots to do for those searching for activities as well, with biking and kayaking very popular.
