It is less than a week before Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness is finally released. However, a new TV spot with fresh footage has fans more excited than ever.
Since Spiderman: No Way Home blew Marvel fans’ minds, we’ve been (im)patiently for the long-awaited Doctor Strange sequel in the hope of some answers. But the trailer, which hinted at returning characters, stuff from What If? and X-Men cameos, only left fans with more questions.
Now, a TV spot with new footage has us going wild.
Captain Carter
Fans were quick to notice the confirmation of Captain Carter, who had an episode of What If? Her iconic shield debuted in the TV spot, where she seems to be battling Wanda Maximoff. However, other fans pointed out that her shield made a subtle appearance on the Multiverse of Madness poster:
Professor X
The appearance of a certain yellow chair and the familiar voice of Patrick Stewart also seemed to confirm that Professor X will be in the film.
It would be the first time the MCU has featured an X-Men character, after acquiring the rights in 2019, and many fans are looking forward to what Marvel does with the famous mutants.
However, some fans noticed that the Professor X in the Multiverse of Madness may not be a version that we’ve seen in live-action before.
Monica Rambeau
And finally, after speculation that it could be Tom Cruise’s Iron Man, a cameo from Brie Larson, and many other guesses, the TV spot seems to confirm that Monica Rambeau is another hero making an appearance in the Multiverse of Madness.
Last seen in Wandavision, hopefully, the Multiverse of Madness will showcase her newfound powers that we’re eager to see. Fans are losing their minds about a Rambeau/Monica battle, along with the many others that have been teased.
Can we wait until next week to finally know what happens in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness? Well, we’re going to have to, but I imagine there will be a lot of replaying of that TV spot before then to find even more clues.
