Just weeks after the Fantastic Beasts star Ezra Miller was arrested in Hawaii for harassment and disorderly conduct, they have been arrested again – this time for assault.
The 29-year-old was arrested for second-degree assault after an incident in Pāhoa, according to a report by the Hawaii Police Department.
Why Was Miller Arrested?
According to police on Tuesday, April 19, 1:10 am, Puna patrol officers responded to a report of an assault that occurred at a get together at a private residence in the Leilani Estates subdivision in lower Puna.
During the course of their investigation, police determined that the individual, later identified as Miller (they/them), became irate after being asked to leave and reportedly threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old woman on the forehead, resulting in an approximate half-inch cut, for which she refused treatment for her injury.
Miller was subsequently arrested at 1:30 am for ‘assault in the second degree’ after being located on the roadway during a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 130 and Kukula Street in Kea‘au.
Miller was released pending further investigation, just after 4am the same day, but the investigation is still active.
Second offence for Miller
This is the second time Miller has been arrested by Hawaiian police, three weeks the Justice League actor ago was arrested after an incident in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Sunday night, when they ‘began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke…and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts.’
After Miller was arrested and charged, they were released after paying the $500 bail (£380).
The American actor and singer, who identifies as non-binary, rose to fame for their role as DC Comic book superhero The Flash aka Barry Allen in the Justice League alongside Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ben Afleck, and Jason Momoa, in 2017.
