Four years after the iconic show Game of Thrones ended its prequel House of the Dragon is here and it’s bloodier than ever.
Many fans were left in disbelief when Game of Thrones came to an end – some left feeling a little disappointed and many just left feeling like it was the end of an era.
However, things all changed when HBO premiered the first episode of the much anticipated House of the Dragon, and fans were left wanting more.

House of the Dragon
Set hundreds of years before the events of the OG show, House of the Dragon chronicles the beginning of the end of House Targaryen and the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war, known as the ‘Dance of the Dragons’.
Packed with huge names the audience was introduced to all the main characters including Paddy Considine playing Viserys I Targaryen, king of Westeros when the story begins, with Milly Alcock playing his daughter and heir Rhaenyra. Matt Smith also stars as Viserys’s brother Daemon.
Alongside this, Olivia Cooke plays Viserys’s second wife Alicent, Rhys Ifans has been cast as Alicent’s father and Hand of the King, Otto Hightower, and Steve Touissant appears as the “Sea Snake” Corlys Velaryon. Star-studded indeed.

Matt Smith in blonde is quite a look. And as this fan noticed he definitely made an impact in the show. We cannot wait to see more of blonde Matt Smith. And just more of this show in general.
They are not wrong. Only one episode in and the costumes in House of the Dragon are absolutely stunning. If this is only one episode then what are the others going to be like? One thing is sure: this show is epic in absolutely every way.
This fan will be there. And we will be there. Everyone will be there, that’s for sure. We have to find out how it’s going to play out. We should all be like Homer Simpson. And who wouldn’t want a mini dragon (as long as it doesn’t burn the house down).
‘Dracarys’ is probably one of the most iconic words in the original Game of Thrones series. If you don’t know what it means it’s a word in Valerian that we hear quite often in the show. Its’ a command Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) gives to her Dragons to blow fire. It’s a very powerful word and it brings us chills, to say the least.
Two queens. No lies there. 22-year-old Milly Alcock did nothing but bring glory to a new era of the Targaryens. And we are only one episode in. Imagine what it’s going to be like in a few weeks. Safe to say Milly Alcock had the big shoes of Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen and she did great.
Game of Thrones Prequel wins fans
House of the Dragon definitely did not let Game of Thrones fans down. Only one episode in and it is clear that this is going to be THE show of the year. Possibly behind Stranger Things Part 4. From the casting to the wardrobe, and the actors we have no doubt that this show will be epic. Now you can go rewatch the episode over and over; you have less than a week to wait for episode 2.
