Dances try to go viral every day, but only some succeed. One taking the internet by storm is the Girl where you going TikTok dance with the infamous ‘Assemble’ lyric. Unfortunately, it’s become a little bit of a meme now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get involved with Captain Save Uh Ho.
It started off with people trying to recreate the Girl where you going dance fully, but one move, in particular, has stuck more than others. That mixed with the lack of pronunciation in the Captain Save Uh Ho song means that the whole thing has become a bit of a joke. The Girl Where You Going TikTok Dance
The dance comes from the catchy chorus from Captain Save Uh Ho by Fresh x Reckless. The ‘supergroup’ from New Orleans combines HipHop, Rap and RnB in this music, with their latest song no different. Released last year, two of the members took to the app to show off the Girl where you going TikTok dance.
The dance is made up of multiple moves, none of them particularly difficult. You start with one bent leg and the other outstretched, with your hands above your head. Then, you over-exaggerate a body roll a couple of times. After that, hold your fists in front of your chest and move your lower arm in a circle away from you, stepping your legs out to the side one at a time.
Then, you kick one leg forward, moving it about a bit and fold over, bringing one arm down in a swooping motion, the other hand then circling around your head. Just flourish it a little at the end!
The Assemble TikTok Dance Became A Meme
Now, some people definitely tried to do the whole Girl where you going TikTok dance and there were some admirable efforts. However, it was the first move that really went viral. People tried to imitate the singer with some hilarious results.
This just shows that the only bit we really know is the ‘Assemble’ part. But, we think that’s probably the best bit.
Somehow, ‘assemble’ became two words here but we’re loving it. The perk with this trend is that it’s very quick to film, so the school corridor is perfect.
It truly is one that everybody can do, plus we think it may become the new Mexican wave after this video.
