Halsey has called out people who say they look ‘too thin’ and ‘unhealthy’ in a TikTok video as well as talking about their health battles.
The 27-year-old pop star, who uses the pronouns she/they, has clapped back at people commenting on their body as well as explaining she suffers from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjögren’s syndrome, Mast Cell Activation syndrome, and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia.
‘Let Me Live’
In the TikTok video the star, real name Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, reacted to the cruel comments as they captioned it ‘U look sick’ BC I AM! LET ME LIVE!’.
Along with the song ‘I Already Know’, by Walworth & Howell, the video featured some of the awful comments the Grammy-winner had received including: ‘Halsey u look sick’, ‘she’s too thin’, ‘looks unhealthy’, and ‘is she ok? Put some meat on them bones’.
The ‘Without Me’ singer gave a deadpan look not directly at the camera saying everything they needed to, as the video has now got over 2.8 million views, 353,000 likes and over 2,000 comments – many generally in support of the star.
Health Battles
Halsey had long been pretty candid about their health, but recently talked about their health battles and explained how things had changed dramatically after their pregnancy and giving birth to baby Ender, last year.
- COMING SOON: A Simple Favour sequel has been confirmed

Last week the singer confirmed they’d received diagnoses for Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjögren’s syndrome, Mast Cell Activation syndrome, and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia and had been in and out of hospital during April.
According to Page Six, in a series of Instagram stories, the star said: ‘Obviously my health has changed a lot since I got pregnant and gave birth.
‘I started getting really, really, really, sick. I was hospitalized for anaphylaxis, a few times, and I had some other stuff going on.’
Halsey then asked viewers not to worry about them as they posted: ‘I’m on a treatment plan right now. I’ve been looking for answers to the root cause of some of these things, which may be an autoimmune disease.
‘And I know I’ve had autoimmune issues for most of my life, especially having endometriosis.’
Maybe, this is a good lesson as to why people shouldn’t comment on other people’s bodies?
