Linktree is a great tool that you’ve probably seen on a lot of Instagram profiles. However, you might not have known how to use it yourself. Don’t fret — we can tell you whether it’s free and how to create a Linktree; plus how to get it on your Instagram.
It’s a fairly recent thing, so it’s not surprising if you’ve got no clue how to use it. It’s really useful for keeping all your socials in one place, particularly if you have a little bit of a following and want to make access to all your pages super easy.
Is Linktree Free?
Whilst there are paid versions, you can have a Linktree for free. With the free version, you can use the non-fungible token features, and connect unlimited links on your tree. You can also create contact forms to keep track of those using your Linktree.
The next tier is £2.50 per month called the Starter package; you’ll be able to add redirects, animations and schedule links. The Pro package is £4 a month and gives you the same features as the Premium tier (£11.50 a month), except for data exports, prioritised customer service and exclusive content.
If you’re just looking to pop all your sites in one place, then the free version of Linktree will do you just fine.

How To Create A Linktree For Instagram
Setting up an account is super easy, particularly now that you know it’s free. On the Linktree website, click the ‘Sign Up For Free’ button in the top right corner of the home page.
You’ll have to enter a username and then your email, before agreeing to their terms and conditions by clicking ‘create account.’ Verify your account and you’ll be able to access your Linktree dashboard.
They’ll be a big purple button in the middle of the screen that says ‘Add links.’ Kind of self-explanatory really, but you’ll need to click that one to get some links on your tree. You’ll need to add the URL, give it a name and a thumbnail to create it. Don’t worry — Linktree has its own image library if you haven’t got your own.
Repeat that process until you’ve added all the links you want. You’ll be able to see a preview of your Linktree as you add them, so you’ll know exactly what it looks like for your followers.
By clicking the lightning bold icon you can even organise your links which you can edit at any point by using the three dots.
After that, it’s just a case of customising your Linktree by adding a bio, a profile picture and your favourite colours as the background. Once you’ve finished perfecting it you simply copy the URL and add it to the webiste section of your Instagram profile. Easy!
Linktree is perfect for Instagram where you might not have enough followers to use the ‘swipe up’ feature in storues, but still need to direct your traffic. It’s even better knowing you can do it for free!
