When it was announced that the first ten seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race would be leaving Netflix and moving to a platform called Wow Presents Plus, many fans were understandably annoyed. This means that you have to pay for a second subscription service if you wish to watch those seasons, so, is Wow Presents Plus worth the money?
What Is Wow Presents Plus?
Founded in 2017, Wow Presents Plus is a subscription service created and owned by World of Wonder. It allows subscribers to watch several different original series hosted by famous drag race alumni. These are shows such as Painted with Raven, Vanjie 24 Hours of Love and UNHhhh (the uncensored version).
You can also see the first ten seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race exclusively through Wow Presents Plus. These seasons were originally put on Netflix but have since moved platforms.
Some notable series that are exclusively on Wow Presents Plus include Canada’s Drag Race, Drag Race Italia, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. the World, Drag Race Holland, RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, Drag Race Thailand and Drag Race España.
How Much Does It Cost?
You can buy Wow Presents Plus in two different ways. You can either pay monthly for £4.33 or pay £43.38 annually. There is an app version of the service, so you can watch anything you like whilst on the go.
Should I Get Wow Presents Plus?
There is no doubt that you get bang for your buck with Wow Presents Plus. There is definitely a lot of content for you to get through. So, if you want to become a RuPaul’s Drag Race Mastermind-level fan, then this could be a good investment.
However, it must be said that, if you are already subscribed to Netflix, you may not want to be paying for an additional service to watch a show you can already see several seasons of. Netflix has three seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race and several seasons of Untucked, as well as Christmas specials.
