Joaquin Pheonix Net Worth As Star Tipped To Return For Joker Sequel

Joaquin Pheonix is near closing the deal to return for The Joker sequel, but what does playing Batman’s most infamous villain add to the star’s net worth?

According to Deadline Phoenix may be reprising his role as Arthur Fleck after the film’s director, Todd Phillips revealed on Instagram there’s a Joker sequel script he just wrote with Scott Silver and the 47-year-old actor has read the script.

Joker: Folie à deux

The sequel is set to be called Joker: Folie à deux – which means ‘the shared madness of two’, so it can only be assumed the Joker will find someone who shares his madness. Will it be his longtime love Harley Quinn or even Batman aka Bruce Wayne? Who knows.

However, besides teasing the movie’s name and the fact it looks like he may be getting Phoenix back on board to reprise Phillips is keeping any plot details under wraps. One thing that’s probably confirmed is if it is Harley Quinn it’s unlikely it’ll be Margot Robbie as the character as she’s already paired alongside Jared Leto in their version of the DC anti-hero movies.

But, if the first movie is anything to go by it could be pretty good. Joker was one of the highest-grossing R-rated movies of all time and took in $1.07 billion at the worldwide box office. Not only that it got 11 Oscar nominations and even got Phoenix the Oscar for ‘Best Actor in a leading role’.

Joaquin Phoenix’s net worth

If for some reason, Phoenix decided not to reprise his role as Fleck it’s not like the Walk The Line actor would have to worry too much about the dent in salary as his career has already racked him up a staggering net worth.

The actor, director, producer and musician has racked up an eye-watering net worth of $50 million – according to Celebrity Net Worth.

During his career which spans the last 30 years has taken on iconic roles, such as Johnny Cash in Walk The Line, and won several awards, alongside his Oscar, including a Grammy Award, and two Golden Globe Awards.
