Little Mix Fans Say Jade Thirlwall Threw Shade At Jesy Nelson On RuPaul's Drag Race

Rachael Grealish March 2, 2022

Some fans say Jade Thirlwall was throwing ‘shade’ at her former Little Mix band mate, Jesy Nelson, in the latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race vs The World.

In the latest episode of the BBC Three show the 29-year-old singer was appearing as a guest judge – alongside Michelle Visage and Graham Norton – as the Queens formed a mega group and performed the song ‘London’.

What did Jade Thirlwall say?

Jade had helped the contestants with their recordings which prompted RuPaul to ask her: “How did recording with the queens compare to recording with Little Mix?”

Jade replied casually with: “Oh it’s just the same really. I bossed everyone around and there’s an ugly rumour going around that one of the girls is leaving the group tonight.”

Her joke was met with a few gasps on the show before being laughed off.

Was Jade throwing shade at Jesy?

Although the star’s response never actually mentioned Jesy Nelson by name, it instantly had fans take to Twitter saying Jade was throwing ‘shade’ at her former band member – who the remaining Little Mix trio were recently feuding with.

One person tweeted: “Jade throwing shade at Jesy. I. AM …. LIVING,” while another commented, “THE WAY THAT JADE SHADED JESY.” Here are some of the best reactions:

And one fan seemed to enjoy the wisecrack as they called her a ‘naughty, naughty girl’.

While another joined in saying: “Did Jade Thirwall just shade Jesy Nelson? I’m not even a massive Little Mix fan but that was GOOD #dragraceuk.”

Nelson left The X Factor winning girl band back in December 2020 and pursued a solo career – which has included releasing her debut single, ‘Boyz’, with Nicki Minaj.

After a year as a trio, and two members starting a family, the remaining Little Mix ladies announced the group would be taking a break, not splitting up they insisted, in December 2021.
