Lucien Laviscount is set to return for season three of the hit Netflix show Emily in Paris after it was revealed the actor was promoted to a series regular.
According to Deadline an announcement was made during Emily In Paris‘ panel at Paley Fest where is was confirmed the British actor would be back in the upcoming seasons the show has been renewed for.
Who is Lucien Laviscount?
Although Laviscount has become an international name playing Emily’s love interest, Alfie, in the streaming site’s hit show, the 29-year-old made his TV debut back 2007 on the teen soap drama, Grange Hill.
Soap fans may recognise the actor from his time on the northern cobbles of Coronation Street, in 2009, before moving over to Waterloo Road. In the BBC One series he played a pupil called Jonah who had a true scandal of a storyline where his character went on to marry his Spanish teacher. And this was all before he made the leap to Netflix.
Emily In Paris Season 3
The series starring Lily Collins was bound to get a third season as, according to Variety, season two debuted in the Global Netflix Top 10 and topped the list across 94 countries with 107.6 million hours viewed in its first four days of airing, from December 22 to December 26, 2021.
But, besides this, details on the highly-anticipated series are being kept tightly under wraps but if the fact a third series has been confirmed I think the cliff-hanger ending has been answered.
*SPOILERS* At the end of season two Emily called Sylvie and told her that she’s made up her mind about whether to stay in Paris, so with another series on the way it’s likely the very fashionable marketing expert will make a go of things in the French capital.
Also at the end of the season Alfie, who had met Emily at a French class before sparking a romance, was set to return to the UK – but we can also guess if Laviscount is coming back Alfie may feature more of a main character in Emily’s life.
