This year, the coffee giant is launching it’s New Artists Collaboration, bringing us the Starbucks Pride cups for 2023. With lots of funky designs, express who are you by picking up the merchandise in a store near you.
We all love getting a new fancy coffee cup, especially when it’s for a good cause. The new Starbucks line of cups not only supports new artists but the latest collection is all about the LGBTQ+ community too.
The collection includes 2 plastic cold cups, a stainless steel tumbler and a gradient rainbow cold cup available too.
Starbucks Pride Collection Part Of New Initiative
The Starbucks Pride cups are the first of the coffee chain’s New Artists Collaboration initiative. For this Summer, they’ve worked with Tim Singleton, a queer Toronto-based artist.
When speaking about his work, Singleton said, “I always like my work to put a smile on people’s faces.”
Singleton also said about the importance of queerness in his work and how his work is all about individuality:
“It really is a story of self-expression and the unrelenting freedom to express yourself how you want, and that there isn’t really one right way to do it.”
All of his designs are full of bright colours and images and no doubt they’ll be incredibly popular. The collection arrived in stores on May 30, however, it is only available in some US and Canadian stores.
The New Line Of Starbucks Pride Cups 2023
Fans have been loving the new collection, which appears to be bigger than Starbucks first advertised. In their press release, they said it would be three cups, but many have spotted a lot more showing up in stores.
- Glitter Cold Cup: $19.95
This is 24oz and may have every single bright colour in its design. It has a peace sign image as well as others printed around the cold cup.
- Gradient Rainbow Cup: $22.95
This cup is also 24oz and is a less vibrant design, fading from cyan into magenta and then finally citrus. On this design, Singleton said that “A beautiful metaphor for queerness is juxtaposing colors.” The rainbow cup os perfect for summer coffees or even the Dragonfruit Mango Refresher.
- Stainless Steel Tumblr: $24.95
Enjoy hot drinks with the Starbucks Pride cups in 2023 with the stainless steel tumbler. A stunning blue colour filled with lots of the same designs and images on the cold cups, it fades into a bright pink.
If you visit a store where these are available, you’ll be sure to see plenty of other designs with these ones. However, these are the only official ones. That being said, there is a drink-through-lid 16oz version for $16.95 that has a lot of the same designs as the above!
Unfortunately, they’re not available outside of the US and Canada, but you may be lucky with an eBay purchase if you’re desperate.
