Olivia Newton-John has passed away at age 73, but while many know her as a star in the movie Grease she also has a pretty impressive discography.
It was confirmed yesterday, August 8, by her husband, that Olivia had passed away ‘peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends’.
According to reports the star died following her battle with breast cancer for over 30 years and numerous tributes have now poured in, significantly one from her long-time friend and former Grease co-star John Travolta.
The pair starred alongside each other in the 70s cult musical that shot her to global fame, however, before this Olivia was already an established singer.

In 1978 everyone was fighting to get their hands on the Grease soundtrack and listen to Sandy lament over Danny in ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’, but before that Olivia had already released a whopping nine studio albums, starting with her debut album If Not for You in 1971.
The album hit big in her home country of Australia, peaking at number 14, and even made it on to the US Billboard 200.
