Rowan Atkinson’s Man Vs Bee has hit Netflix – his latest comedy in a lengthy career that’s seen the actor amass a staggering net worth.
The 67-year-old Mr Bean actor has taken on his latest role as a bumbling dad who lands a stange job as a housesitter, but this is just the latest in a long career of comedy acting for the BAFTA Award winner.
Rowan Atkinson rise to fame
Atkinson may be best known for his role as Bean, but he actually his career on a more ‘electircal’ beginnings. Following attending a private school in the north west of England the actor went on to study electrical engineering at Newcastle University. After this he went on to continue his studies at the University of Oxford where he attained an MSC in electrical engineering at The Queen’s College in 1978.

Although he had ideas about continuing his studies to get a doctorate Atkinson became involved with the Oxford University Dramatic Society and gravitated towards that path.
Eventually, he performed a radio show called The Atkinson People before getting his first television role with Canned Laughter. In 1983 his career took a pivitol turn when he landed his iconic role in the British comedy show Blackadder.
From then he would star in the show for several seasons, act in films like The Witches, The Lion King and Four Weddings and a Funeral, before he eventually got cast as Mr Bean.
Since then he also starred in the comedy Bond-esque parody Johnny English and it’s recent sequel.

However, things take a turn when a bee lands on the scene Trevor struggles to keep everything under control as he builds a raucous rivalry with the creature which leads to increasingly disastrous consequences that could create irreparable damage will be done in the process.
The chaos unfolds in nine sub-20-minute episodes, broken down into chapters that have been described as ‘better than Bean’ by the Independent.
