Starbucks Dragonfruit Drink Finally Arrives In The UK

Jasmyne Jeffery May 12, 2023

It’s been a fan-favourite summer drink in the US for a number of years, but it’s finally made it over to the UK for 2023. It’s captured everyone’s curiosity, with many eager to try it. We tell you everything you need to know about the Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks drink, including what people really think.

Now that the warmer weather is (supposed to be) here, it’s time to find our go-to for summer sipping. Hot chocolates are a thing of the past; it’s time for frappes, iced teas and more. Already, Costa’s Summer Menu for 2023 has people talking. However, the latest import from Starbucks US has people queuing at the stores.

What Is In The Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Drink?

The drink is made up of dragonfruit and mango juice, hand-shaken with ice and finished off with a scoop of dried dragonfruit.

Definitely one for those who love all things sweet and fruit, it will cost you £4.20 to try the new addition to the menu.

It’s been out since late April now, spreading to stores around the country, and is just another Instagram-friendly drink Starbucks has released. In fact, it’s already been all over TikTok as more and more people try it out.

At only 90 calories, the Refresha is a lighter option this summer, but we’re not sure if it counts as one of your five a day.

Now widely available in UK stores, it’s definitely one to try in summer 2023 if you’re not a coffee fan. You can even pick up some new cold-cup reusable cups, so you can be a green queen whilst having your new favourite drink.

What People Think Of The Sumer Starbucks Drink

Now it’s been out for a couple of weeks, people have had the time to try it and develop their opinions on the Dragonfruit Starbucks drink. Though it’s definitely got some immediate lovers, others aren’t quite as keen.

Some, are serious fans of the drink.

This is quite a claim, but we can’t help the facts.

However, this person and her friend weren’t quite as keen. In fact, the friend even calls it “mildly flavoured water.” Ouch; that’s a lot of money to pay for some diluted squash.

This Twitter user had the same experience, which makes us think that maybe it just depends on the location.

That, or it’s more of a marmite drink than the Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks drink lovers want to admit.

Dragonfruit Drink Joins Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew On The Menu

The Mango Dragonfruit Refresha isn’t the only new drink coming to Starbucks in summer 2023. Yes, the Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew is joining the menu too.

This one is definitely for coffee lovers. Made with their signature smooth cold brew, it’s sweetened with vanilla syrup and has a salted caramel foam to top it off.

If you can’t ever decide between salty or sweet popcorn at the cinema, we think you should try this one out. The Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew cost £5 for a grande, so is an end-of-the-week treat.

Those who are a lover of fruity drinks but also need their caffeine have a decision to make as to which one they want to try first!
