If you are a student in Bolton, this is the post for you. Here is a rundown of some of the most student-friendly priced bars, clubs and pubs right on your doorstep.

Of course, students want to go out and have a great night, but that doesn’t mean you have you compromise your already dwindling bank account.

The Dragonfly

The Dragonfly pub in Bolton is specifically tailored towards students. Amazingly, Wednesdays see you able to buy single shots for only £1 or doubles for £3.

This place is also the home of Disco Bingo Bolton where students can drink, dance and play a good game of bingo. Think “Bongo’s Bingo” in Bolton.

It also has live sports on HD TV’s and beer pong tables.

The Dragonfly also has a staple quiz night on Sundays. So, get your smartest mates together and take part in the Sunday smartphone quiz!

The Alma Inn

The Alma Inn is the perfect place for music-loving students. After being shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, The Alma Inn is now back and better than ever!

This 170-year-old building now has Boltons largest (and only) South facing beer garden for you to enjoy a cheeky beverage in. During a refurbishment, The Alma Inn now had a classic pool table.

This new installment, added to the fact that they frequently play live rock, punk and metal music gets people coming back night in and night out.

The Blind Tiger

The Blind Tiger annually welcomes in freshers each year with amazing live music. Wednesdays are Rawkus Club nights which are dedicated nights for students to listen to punk, pop, alternative and metal music.

There are several drink offers to help students out that are on before 11pm. One of them is a great 2 for 1 offer on all cocktails.

The Blind Tiger’s website have a “Band Of The Week” which helps you identify that week’s live music bands. All of the live musicians for this month have been announced via Instagram.

Hogarths

If gin is your drink of choice, then Hogarths is the place for you. This half sports bar, half Victorian-style gin house, has over 140 flavours and types of gin, so you will definitely find something you like.

In the “sports” section of this place, there are 18 HD TVs in addition to a 5-meter big screen which is used for major sporting events or live music.
