Taylor Swift once said “karma is real” and fans can’t believe it’s true as she drops the name of Midnights album track 11.

As the days dwindle down to the release date for Swift’s tenth studio album Midnights on October 21, the 32-year-old has been dropping the names of her 13 tracks in a random order in a TikTok series called “Midnights Mayhem With Me”.

At the 2022 VMAs (MTV Video Music Awards) the 11-time Grammy winner confirmed rather than dropping another re-recording of her old albums, she would be dropping her next studio album.

Since then she’s teased Swifties by dropping the names of her tracks one-by-one in a TikTok series which features Swift using an old bingo machine which contained 13 balls. So far she’s released the tracks

Today, October 6, the singer-songwriter confirmed track 11 would be called “Karma” which, as many Swifties know, is a big deal. This is because Swift loves to leave teasers and Easter eggs for fans to guess and fans were quick to point out she’s mentioned karma several times.

In a Vogue 73 Questions video, in 2016, she was asked What do you think is the most important life lesson for someone to learn?” Without missing a beat, she responded, “That karma is real”.

Then on her 2017 album, Reputation, in her song “Look What You Made Me” she sings: ‘But not for me, not for me, all I think about is karma.’

Finally in her 2020 music video for her Lover album song “The Man”, Swift, dressed as a man, can be seen urinating up against a subway station wall with all her previous album names graffitied on it with “Karma” in the centre. At the time many fans theorised this was a ‘lost’ album from the days she went into hiding after her 2016 Kanye West drama or the name of her next album.

However, it seems she’s finally revealed to fans what “karma” was referring to all along.

Fans can’t believe ‘karma is real’

After years of theorising, Swifties are “shook” to discover Karma is the name of the track and many say they “can’t believe” that “karma is real”.
