The Best Activities To Do If You Live By The Sea

Add as preferred source on Google

If you’re lucky to live by the sea (or you’re just visiting) then you are surrounded by an unending amount of activities to do.

No matter if you like doing active things in your spare time, or just sitting and trying to get a tan, there is always something to do.

Below are some of my favourite activities to do whenever I’m by the sea.

As someone who’s just moved to a seaside town, I have been trying out all the different activities to see which are the most enjoyable.

Activities by the sea to do:

Crabbing:

If you’re interested in the sea and all of its creatures, then crabbing is a very enjoyable pastime. Going out into an area and placing your fishing equipment into the water and then seeing all of the crabs that you can place into buckets (before then setting them free again) can be an unusual yet fun thing to do with your friends.

This can also be done if you live near a tidal sea as you walk out into the mud. Finding crabs can also just be a fun afternoon out.

Beach Runs:

Deciding to get back into fitness while living by the sea can be great for your mental health. Beach runs can provide a healthy yet enjoyable pastime as you get to your run alongside some beautiful scenery.

This could make the idea of running all the more pleasant if you are not someone who runs regularly. Having a view can be a relaxing activity and can make the overall exercise and experience more fun.

Beach Drinks:

After a long day of work or studying, sitting on the beach as the sun starts to set with a few drinks can not be beaten.

This is also a very cheap and affordable night out an alternative if you are trying to stay on budget. You can enjoy the natural beauty that the scenery has to offer instead of having to go into town or to a cocktail bar.

Paddle Boarding:

If you are living by the sea, I suggest investing in a paddleboard. This is a really fun hobby and can distress you after a hard day’s work.

Paddling along the sea at sunrise or sunset is extremely good for your mental health as you take in all that the view has to offer.

Beach Clean-up

This is a great way to give back to the community, along many beaches are areas where you can get a rubbish bag and do your beach clean-up to support your local communities.

This would include walking along the beach for as long as little as you desire and picking up rubbish to make the environment more enjoyable for all.
