The Best Crazy Golf Courses For Students

Molly Raby February 12, 2023

Crazy golf is one of the best activities to do when trying to find something for your whole friendship group to do. There is usually one or two courses in city centres and, aside from the sports aspect, you can almost always get an alcoholic beverage too. This can either hinder or help you but, either way, it makes for a fun activity to do with your mates. Here is a list of some of the best crazy golf courses for students.

Swingers, London

In a very on-brand move, the capital’s best crazy golf places are much more high brow than any other courses you will find across the country. Swingers provides two nine-hole courses decorated with stunning greenery and miniature architecture for your pleasure.

There is also a two-storey ‘clubhouse’ in this building which serves delicious street food options such as pizzas and burgers. So, after your leisurely competition, you are free to have a well-deserved sit down and a snack on-site.

Swingers has two London locations (city centre and West End), so you can get to it from anywhere.

Ghetto Golf, Liverpool

Ghetto Golf is located in the old Cain’s brewery around the Baltic area of Liverpool. This place blasts great club tunes, lets the drinks pour and has amazing glow-in-the-dark features throughout the courses. You feel as though you have been transported into an underground graffiti hub that just happens to have nine holes carved out.

This site is over 18’s only, so you needn’t worry about being slowed down by big family groups. You can get the drinks in and start showing off your skills on the course.

The Lost City, Nottingham

This crazy golf course is bigger than the previous two, with both playable courses having a grand 18-holes for you to enjoy. The theme is very much Crash Bandicoot meets Lara Croft in an ancient world. Decorated with massive trees, pyramids and features as well as ambient sounds, it fully immerses you in the world.

The Lost City have two other sites in Hull and Belfast, so students there can also get involved in the fun! If you book through The Lost City website, you can enjoy a 20% discount on prices, so what is not to like?

Junkyard Golf, Manchester

Now one of the most famous crazy golf names in the UK, Junkyard Golf found its origins in the Great Northern Warehouse in Manchester. This amazing place has not one, not two, but three courses to choose from!

The Bozo course tests your fears. With clowns and creepy circus figures dotted about an abandoned fairground, this course could put you on edge!

Pablo’s course is a terrifying tropical theme. With the skeletons of players past left to rot and pirates already taking over the course, how far can you get?

Finally, the Gary course has a great vintage theme with scrap metal cars and glow-in-the-dark elements to give it the nightlife vibe.

There are also Junkyard Golf sites in Leeds, Liverpool, Oxford, London and Newcastle.
