Digbeth

Digbeth is host to some of Birmingham’s top indoor and outdoor venues. If you’re looking for something a bit different but don’t want to break the bank, the artsy streets are your best bet. Here are your options for the best Halloween nights in Birmingham.

Tektu:

Tektu makes a popular appearance in Digbeth’s Lab11 venue once or twice a term throughout the year. Usually themed around Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day to name a few, their first themed evening of the year is happening this Thursday, 27 October. Not wanting to hold back, the organisers said, ‘best believe we’re going IN on decor/production for this one’. Expect the usual rave rooms of house and techno music, with the added fun of their jungle themed ‘Temple of Doom’ decor.

Tickets are sold on fatsoma, here.

Luna Springs:

Popular in summer for its outdoor daytime brunches and DJ sets, Luna Springs is hosting ‘Digbeth’s biggest Halloween festival’, aptly named ‘Halloween Fest’, on Saturday 29 October from 6pm-2am. If you like to dance on the tables, their headline acts, haunted arena, and freaky performers might be just what you’re looking for.

Head to the Luna Springs website for tickets and more info.

Roller Jam:

Holding a ‘Stranger Things Halloween Special’, by popular demand, Roller Jam will be open on Saturday 29 October from 7pm-2am (last entry 12am) for all who want to skate amongst ‘huge immersive stage production, themed dancers, character skaters and our very Demogorgon!’. Not only this, but candy floss ice creams, burgers, and theme cocktails to fuel the fun alongside a soundtrack of disco, house, R&B, 70s, and 80s tunes.

Fancy skating the night away? Roller Jam’s Skiddle page has all the information you need. Whether you want to skate or spectate, make sure your fancy dress is top notch to have a chance at winning the group prize of a free VIP booth and £300 drinks package!

Broad Street & More

Broad street in Birmingham city centre is home to a wealth of nightclubs and bars. Whilst the likes of Pryzm, Bierkeller, Popwrold, and Coyote Ugly will be open for the weekend celebrations, here are the best of the bunch to narrow down your choice. Tear up the dance floor and finish the night in everyone’s favourite broad street kebab shop, Pitstop, if only Revs and Players were still open.

Snobs

Not strictly on broad street, Snobs is probably Birmingham’s most popular nightclub – and for good reason. Boasting three different floors of music, the Smallbrook Queensway venue is hosting two huge Halloween nights out, on Saturday 29 October and on Halloween itself, an all-nighter event on Monday 31. Both begin at 10pm and encourage fancy dress costumes, but these are not compulsory to enter the ghoulishly decorated venue.

Tickets are usually sold on the door but with as popular a club as this one, it’s best to get them in advance. Check out the Snobs website here.

Rosies

Hosting the most Halloween events of the year of any venue on this list, Rosie’s 3 floors are bound to be filled for each event. There are so many you may as well go on your night off! Thursday kicks off the action with Vodbull’s ‘Horrorbull Halloween’ event, followed by the ‘Nightmare on Broad Street’ night on Saturday 29. Sunday 30 sees the ‘Carnevil Twisted Circus’ takes over the venue, with Rosie’s part of Broad Street’s ‘Halloween Scarefest Block Party’ rounding off the celebrations on Halloween itself.

To pick your event, have a look at Rosie’s website.

Heidi’s Bier Bar

Still a new additon to Broad Street, Heidi’s is putting up some strong competiton against Rosie’s this year, hosting the same number of halloween events across the weekend. Europe’s biggest Apres Ski bar is celebrating Halloween on Thursday 27, Saturday 29, Sunday 30, and Monday 31 October! Welcoming you in are cheap tickets, Oktoberfest-style dancing on the tables, and a happy hour from 4-10pm, who wouldn’t want to visit?

Head over to their website for more information.

Walkabout

This Australian-themed, two floored bar knows how to have a good time. From 24th-31st October, Walkabout is hosting its ‘Carnival of Horrors’, where you can enjoy some exclusive cocktails, sit and chat, or have a boogie. This year’s concoctions are ‘The Zombie Strongman’, ‘Evil Snakecharmer’, and ‘The Killer Clown’. Going down well with their Ring of Fire – six shots of fireball whiskey – Walkabout location just off Brindley Place means you can take your classy drinks night to the next level.
