Sitting down in your house for a movie evening after a long day of studying can be a great way to get to know each other and bond.
Having a day once a week where you all cook for each other, order in some food, get a load of snacks and decide on a specific film or series to watch, will really make your house feel more like a home.
Best movies to watch with your uni house
Below are some of the best movies that I would suggest watching as a house. It is also a good idea to have a film rota where you can also choose your favourite film to show to rest the house.
This also prevents any one person from dominating the movie choice or any potential arguments from breaking out.
Harry Potter:
Whether you like chick flicks, romcoms, or action films, the Harry Potter series tends to have a bit of everything for all to enjoy.
For those who have not seen these films, this is a film series that I would highly suggest watching ASAP.
These films are great for the autumnal and winter seasons as you can get cosy whilst watching this endlessly entertaining and action-packed film.
Most people have seen Harry Potter by now, but is one of those comfort films that will never disappoint – and one that you can always rely on for a good and fun evening for all
Sing Along Films:
If you are more of a musical house and fancy an evening with a few drinks whilst singing along to a favourite soundtrack, then I the films below I would definitely suggest.
These can turn a stressful day into an extremely fun and enjoyable one, as destressing yourself by screaming some of your all-time favourite tracks is a great way to clock off. The films I would suggest doing this to are:
- Mamma Mia 1 and 2
- Grease
- The Greatest Showman
- Dirty Dancing
- Frozen
- Tangled
Chick Flicks:
Some of my favourite chick flicks include the Bridget Jones movies. These are light-hearted, entertaining and funny films that can help you relax after a long day.
Additionally, classic films such as Mean Girls, Wild Child, Fast Girls, and Netflix’s new release Do Revenge, are great evening filler films that you can enjoy without having to concentrate.
