The Best Student Clubs In Liverpool, Nottingham And Cardiff

Cicely McFarlane April 30, 2022

As the weather starts to improve, and with the summer approaching, weekend visits to university towns can be a great way to experience some fun nights out.

However, when going into these new cities or towns, it’s difficult to know what are the best local places to go to.

Here is a list of three popular UK universities and the most popular student choices for the best clubs or pub nights.

Liverpool

The Raz is a must-go if you’re visiting Liverpool. It’s always filled with students and is a very cheap night out. Although not the most impressive-looking of clubs, you are guaranteed to enjoy a few drinks for a cheap price.

Electric is where the sports nights for the University of Liverpool are held. So this club may always be filled with people who are dressed as certain themes for their society on a Tuesday. Once again, this is a very standard night out that will not let you down. Its size and different rooms enable you to enjoy many different types of music.

Nottingham

Rock City is a must-visit in Nottingham and is highly attended on Wednesday nights by Nottingham Trent students, and then on Fridays for the University of Nottingham. Rock City is the biggest club in England. It consists of three rooms: one main one, one RnB one and then one room consisting of both. Although fairly expensive, it’s definitely worth it for the atmosphere.

Stealth is on every Thursday, yet you can also attend Stealth Saturdays which will ensure a fun night out for you and your friends. This is the place to go if you wish to enjoy a night without breaking the bank.

Ocean is on every Friday and, with only one room, that is the place to go if you feel like dressing up a little bit more, and enjoying a night out filled with cheesy music.

Cardiff

This bustling city ensures that you will be able to enjoy a night out on the town. At the weekend, if you are more into cheesy and dance music, then Przym on a Friday or Saturday night might be the best place for you.

If you want a more relaxed bar/club environment, Live Lounge has a diverse range of people and also live music for you to enjoy while sitting back and having a drink. Yet here you are also able to get up and have a dance.

Revolution’s Cardiff is one of the most popular destinations at the weekend. Although slightly more expensive, it has three rooms with different music styles for you to enjoy.

Additionally, at the weekend it is the student union night called Juice. This is a £5 entry ticket, yet it will not disappoint as the student union is one of the most popular destinations for Cardiff students.
