Aries
Aries is a productive but stressed student. They’re probably a former gifted child who fails to live up to their past success. They may take on too much with the belief that they can do it all. They can easily get burnt-out as their FOMO makes them attend everything they are invited to. But this means they rarely miss lectures, because what if something fun happens?
Taurus
At their best Taurus’s are ambitious and determined to achieve their goals. At their worst, they are uninterested, master procrastinators who end up resenting their work. They often end up pulling all-nighters to complete an essay, swearing to themselves they’ll prepare better next time. But they don’t quit, fantasizing about being rich to keep going.
Gemini
Gemini’s are intellectuals and interested in a number of topics. They’re often annoyingly good at everything, including both Maths and English. They aren’t afraid to ask questions in lectures and you will repeatedly hear them asking ‘why?’ In order to understand the deeper meaning.
Cancer
Cancer’s are passionate and proud of their work. Once they’re set on something, they won’t stop until they get there. Cancer’s are great students as they can work individually as well as in a group. They will share their thoughts and ideas with their classmates and will want success for everyone.
Leo
Having a Leo on your course is a blessing and a curse. You’ll become instantly connected and feel so lucky to have a course friend you actually like. But they may spend half the lecture gossiping and talking about their weekend plans (which you aren’t invited to).
Virgo
Virgo’s can be smug about how smart they are, refusing to share notes and claiming they “don’t even revise”. When in reality they’ve had several breakdowns and shouted at their housemates because they have a test. They’ll get above average grades and rightfully celebrate at the weekend.
Libra
Libra’s may be more proud of their notes than their knowledge. You will find them with matching equipment whatever their subject of study. They will have definitely written a heading such as “chromosomes” in perfect calligraphy highlighted in pastel pink. To give them credit, Libra’s always ask the best questions as they consider topics very carefully.
Scorpio
Some of the most pretentious students I’ve ever met have been Scorpio’s. You’ll stop inviting them on nights out because they start quoting some existential German philosopher that you’ve never heard of. They won’t be quiet in seminars, and will stick to their guns on any subject (even if they’re clearly in the wrong).
Sagittarius
Says they haven’t studied for their exams but actually means it. You’ve seen them in the pub more than you’ve ever seen them in a lecture hall. Has the potential to succeed, but gets aggressively medium grades. But they’re somehow the first to land a grad job.
Capricorn
A walking study schedule, their mapped-out itinerary has barely allowed them a chance to breathe. You only ever see them in the library with a cup of coffee looking defeated. But they’re the only person you know who’s scored 90/100 on a humanities essay. They’ll go along to get their PHD and have multiple essays published.
Aquarius
Pretends they don’t care about their grades but has a meltdown if they get anything less than a first. They will most likely be doing a degree in the humanitarian field and may go on to make significant world changes.
Pisces
Pisces have beautiful and creative minds and will try to understand their subject in depth. They can get easily distracted so may struggle with time management. They complete most of their work at night as they’ve spent the entire day down an internet rabbit-hole.
