The Sun Hotel & Bar
The Sun Hotel and Bar is a great place for students to get a true taste of Lancaster. While this may be at a slightly higher price than other basic pubs, you really do get more for your money.
There is also an array of drinks to choose from. So, whether you love your beer, wine, cider or gin, you can be sure that there will be a refreshing beverage waiting for you.
Possibly even better than the spread of drinks, every Tuesday is quiz night. With teams of up to six players, and only being £3.50 to enter, you can bring your smartest mates with you and try to top that leader board week in, week out.

Sugarhouse
Sugarhouse is Lancaster University’s go-to nightclub. No need to worry about travel, as there is a designated ‘sugar bus’ that operates between the university and the club.
Entry to Sugarhouse is much cheaper when you show your Student ID, making it accessible for students who may have to decide on the entrance fee or a drink. Each night is a different theme, so you never get bored with the music.
For example, Friday nights are typically old school house music with additions form the 70s, 80s and 90s.

The Study Room
The Study Room is made for students to walk through the doors and is one of Lancaster’s trendier bars. You can sit back and relax knowing that you will be having a great night.
There are select days where the name of the game is 2-for-1 cocktails, 2 for £12 cocktails and be sure to keep an eye out for those staple £20 supersized Pornstar Martinis.
They also have resident DJs playing throughout the night to get the mood just right. The Study Room serves food until 8pm and stays open until the early hours of the morning, so you can dance the night away.

Kanteena
Kanteena is located on an open courtyard in an old but renovated warehouse. This place has a great vibe about it, with food, drinks and music on tap.
Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, you can bring your mates here for the ultimate end of the week session. Be sure to look at which DJs are on, so you can turn out for your favourites.
