Sir Duncan Rice Library
This outstanding library sits on a base of Scottish stone and spans some seven floors! Each floor offers students something different, so whether you want to collaborate on a team project, or read some literature in silence, you will find a place for that.
The Sir Duncan Rice library was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 2012. Its recognisable and powerful architecture also makes it a wonder to look at from campus.
University of Leeds
Brotherton Library
The Brotherton library was built in the 1930s, which is why it has such an amazing Art Deco style. Its interior design is full of emerald marble columns, surrounded by thousands of interesting books.
In addition to the glorious interior, Brotherton library has an exceptional collection of rare books, archives and manuscripts. This is perfect for students studying history, or anyone who is interested in the past.
University of Cambridge
Cambridge University Library
While Cambridge University library may not be as aesthetically pleasing as the others on this list, it is the most impressive in terms of literature.
This is one of the UK’s legal deposit libraries, allowing students and members of the public to access over nine million books, archives, manuscripts and other content.
Some of the content available at Cambridge library includes the Gutenberg Bible of 1455, one of the earliest books produced in Europe.
