Four years ago today Mac Miller passed away following an accidental overdose and now Twitter is remembering the late rapper.
Mac Miller – real name Malcolm James McCormick – was just 26 years old when he was found unresponsive in his home on September 7 2018.

Four years ago today it was revealed Mac had died from an accidental overdose in his Los Angeles home – it was later confirmed he had died from a combination of cocaine, fentanyl, and alcohol.

Following the discovery of Mac three men – Stephen Walter, Ryan Michael Reavis and Cameron James Pettit – were arrested and charged in connection with his death. The three men were indicted on charges of conspiracy and distribution of drugs resulting in death, Rolling Stone reported.
Since then Reavis was sentenced to ten years in prison for his role in distributing the pills, on April 18, 2022, and on May 17, 2022, Walter was sentenced to 17 and a half years in prison for his role. Pettit, who has pleaded “not guilty” is still awaiting trial.
During his life, Mac had a string of hit albums to reach the top ranks on the Billboard 200. His 2011 debut, Blue Slide Park, reached No. 1 on that chart, followed by 2013’s Watching Movies with the Sound Off (No. 3); 2015’s GO:OD AM (No. 4); 2016’s The Divine Feminine (No. 2); and, released just last month, Swimming, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200. He was also a skilled producer under the alias Larry Fisherman.

Many Twitter users have been sharing pictures of Mac and screenshots of their favourite lyrics while stating they “miss” the late celebrity and also saying “RIP” and one fan called him a ‘GOAT’ – greatest of all time.
