What Is The Marshmallow Sponge And Why Is It All Over TikTok?

Do you feel like your TikTok has been taken over by influencers doing their makeup over the past few days? Are you constantly hearing about how flawless your makeup can look with a new, amazing beauty blender? That might be because the viral Marshmallow sponge is back in stock, and TikTok have gone crazy for it.

Coco Cosmetics by Chloe is the beauty brand behind the original Marshmallow Sponge beauty blender. The brand is very active on TikTok, constantly showcasing their range of marshmallow sponges, cleaners and other beauty products.

In January 2022, the sponge went viral across TikTok, with thousands of users reviewing the sponge, claiming that it blended makeup flawlessly, quickly, and without absorbing as much product as typical blenders and brushes.

So why is the product back in the limelight after nearly a year? After the product blew up on TikTok in early 2022, the famous sponges sold out across TikTok shop and the brand’s own online shop. After months of being out of stock across all sites, the sponges returned this month to TikTok shop and the Coco Cosmetics by Chloe store.

Once again, the sponge has blown up across TikTok, and this time it is even bigger. Hundreds of influencers and content creators are advertising the sponges. User, @josiepeaches, reviewed the marshmallow, saying: “It’s so quick and easy to bounce the product into your skin. It’s very easy to get a good coverage very quickly.”

A variety of the sponges are available across the TikTok shop. Sponge shape 1, a traditionally shaped blender, and sponge shape 2, a larger and rounder blender, are both available individually for just £9 each. Alternatively, you can try both shapes for £16.99 in the duo pack. If you’re looking for more sponges, a pack of four shape 2 blenders is £24.99, or a pack of 4 mini blenders is £14.95.
