TikTok is a platform of many talents. It can make anything go viral in seconds – a song, a dance, a water bottle, and now an owl dress. But the question on everyone’s mind is: What is it and where can you get it?
With comfort at the forefront in the world of working from home, if you can find something cute and comfortable you’re winning. TikTok user Maruno Machi thought that’s all she was getting when she shared new outfit – which went almost-instantly viral on the app with people wanting it.
What is the owl dress?
Well, the owl dress isn’t actually a dress, it’s a kind of dress/jumpsuit/romper combined with a print of an owl’s face which becomes obvious when stretched out.
The TikTok user made a video of herself in her ‘favourite piece of clothing’ and asked her followers what they thought. It pretty much blew up from there and now the video has racked up over 7.2 million views.
In the video you can see her wearing the dress and, at one point says ‘who you talking to?’ as she puts her hands in the pockets and pulls the dress to reveal the owl print.
Where can you get it?
Of course, many people who’ve watched the video want to know where on earth you can get the outfit?
Maruno explained, briefly, in her video she got it from a shop called Everest Imports in Savannah at the Pavillion on the Riverwalk.
However, many people not in the area scoured the internet to see if they could find it, to no luck – one person commented on the post: ‘Not me searching the HUNDREDS OF COMMENTS FOR THE LINK TO THE ACTUAL PANTS!’
Another said: ‘I’m so disappointed how google has let ALL of us down here!! I NEED this jumpsuit!!’
But fear not, fans of this new viral must-have. Maruno found out where that specific outfit could be bought from, got in touch with a wholesaler, and has now actually started her own online store where the owl dress and jumpsuit can be bought in the original colour and several different ones too.
The TikTok owl dress is retailing at a modest $65 (£49), but at the time of writing it is sold out (I’m not crying, you are). Keep an eye on the link above to see when there is new stock as this is sure to fly off the shelves!
