What Is Actors On Actors?
Actors on Actors is a show that sees multiple pairs of actors come together in a face-to-face conversation. They typically talk about their upcoming projects as well as how they approach their craft, interspersed with funny anecdotes and moments.
Variety Studio have been airing the show since 2014 and have released over 60 episodes over their 18 seasons so far.
Who Is In Season 18?
Pedro Pascal & Steven Yeun
It seems as though everyone and their mother are on the Pedro Pascal train since the release of his new show The Last Of Us. He plays rugged and closed off Joel, who slowly develops a relationship with Ellie as they navigate their way through a post-apocalyptic world.
Steven Yeun is also well-versed in the post-apocalyptic world, having been in The Walking Dead series for over six years. However, he sits down with Pascal to discuss his show Beef, where he plays Danny Cho. Cho and Amy Lau (played by Ali Wong) meet in a road rage incident that causes their lives to spiral out of control.
Jenna Ortega & Elle Fanning
Jenna Ortega is a young actress who has made waves playing the iconic role of Wednesday Adams in the Netflix series Wednesday. Her reimagining of the dark but beloved character has fans begging for newer seasons to come out.
Elle Fanning has been on our screens for years now. She is well-known as Princess Aurora whom she portrayed alongside Angelina Jolie in the Maleficent films. She sits down with Ortega to talk about her new role as Catherine Amazon Prime’s The Great.
Jennifer Garner & Sheryl Lee Ralph
These are two powerhouse women who are well-established in their fields. Garner has played standout roles such as Sydney Bristow in Alias and Jenna Rink in 13 Going On 30. Now she plays Hannah Hall, a woman whose husband seemingly disappears into thin air one day. Hannah then has to look after her stepdaughter, Bailey, despite their already rocky relationship.
Sheryl Lee Ralph is a television and stage legend. She made her stamp as Deena Jones in the 1981 Broadway musical Dreamgirls and has had great success since. She reached mainstream audiences and won an Emmy for her role as primary school teacher, Barbara Howard in Abbott Elementary. This show has quickly become a family favourite for many people across the world.
Brett Goldstein & Theo James
Brett Goldstein sits down to talk about his successful role of Roy Kent in the hit Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso. Kent is the captain of a professional football team and whilst he has a hard exterior, we begin to see that he can be soft and emotional.
Finding fame after his role in the Divergent series, Theo James is frequently put in action roles. However, he is here this season to talk about his part in the second season of The White Lotus. James portrays Cameron Sullivan, an investments manager who seems to have the perfect marriage on the surface, but we discover more about him as the show progresses.
