Season 2 of Bridgerton is just days away but there’s one person we all still haven’t got over since season 1; Regé-Jean Page and the one thing we all want to know is who’s his girlfriend?

The highly-anticipated series will be returning to Netflix on Friday, March 25, and although Page isn’t returning as the tall, dark, and handsome Duke of Hastings his legacy will live on for many viewers.

Who is Regé-Jean Page?

The award winning 33-year-old heart throb wasn’t always the star he currently is – Page started his career on stage with roles in The History Boys and The Merchant of Venice opposite Sir Jonathan Pryce before hitting television screens.

His first major tv role was on the BBC Three series Waterloo Road in its final season, in 2015. This was followed by his US debut when the he took on the role of ‘Chicken George’ in the History Channel miniseries Roots – a remake of the 1977 miniseries with the same.

In 2019 he landed his breakthrough role in Bridgerton as Simon, the Duke of Hastings and husband on Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor – the rest on that is history.

Who is Page’s Girlfriend Emily Brown?

Dynevor and Page had many steamy onscreen moments leading many people to asking if the pair were a couple – however they shut down those rumours during an interview with Access Hollywood. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean the Duke is on the market.

In February 2021 Page was spotted with writer and part-time athlete Emily Brown. However, The Daily Mail reported the pair go back even further stating they bought a house together back in 2020.

Brown is said to be a freelance copywriter with commissions from firms including Nike, Converse and Uber, according to the Daily Mail, and plays soccer.

In September 2021 the pair were spotted once again as they stepped out publicly for the first time at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London.

Sorry guys, he’s got his IRL Duchess.

Is Page in Bridgerton Season 2?

If you were looking forward to more steamy scenes with the Duke in the upcoming season of Bridgerton you’ll be sadly disappointed, he’s not in it.

The star took to Instagram in April last year to confirm he was not going to be reprising his role, but did say it had been the ‘ride of a life time’.

Very little has been leaked about the upcoming season but, according to Town and Country, and this season will not focus on Daphne Bridgerton, but on her brother, Anthony.

This was confirmed when Netflix released a letter from ‘Lady Whistledown’ who announced the second season saying: “This author has been reliably informed that Lord Anthony Bridgerton intends to dominate the social season. I will have my pen ready to report on any and all of his romantic activities.”

From the teaser trailer – which was dropped on Valentine’s Day, of course – it showed Anthony is set to be in a love triangle, and even with Rege-Jean not returning his character’s wife, Daphne (played by Phoebe Dynevor) would be returning alongsie her other brothers, sister Eloise and friends.

Bridgerton season 2 drops on Netflix on March 25.
