Though many of us tried, most people didn’t get tickets to the Eurovision Grand Final in Liverpool. That doesn’t mean you have to miss out on enjoying it with fans of the competition. With multiple announced across the UK, including Cardiff and Manchester, get yourself to one of the following Eurovision screening parties to join the fun.

For the first time in the 21 century, the Eurovision Song Contest is coming to the UK! After Ukraine was unable to host, we took the baton after Sam Ryder came in second. Mere weeks away now, we’ve already announced our 2023 competitor, TikTok star Mae Muller.

Tickets for the live events sold out earlier this year, with many missing out due to the huge demand. Though you can’t be there in person, you can still watch the show with some of that Eurovision camaraderie with screening parties held around the UK.

Various Parties Are Being Held Around The UK

Announced earlier this month, multiple cities will be airing the Eurovision Grand Final for thousands of people to watch.

The news comes after the BBC announced their partnership with CinemaLive to bring the show to 500 cinemas across the UK. Now, people will be able to enjoy the fun with mass groups of Eurovision fans in the comfort of their local cities.

Coming to over 30 cities, the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and offering £1 million. This will fund the Eurovision screening parties as well as King Charles’ coronation earlier in the month.

Speaking in the BBC press announcement, the Eurovision minister said the mass screenings: “Are bringing the Eurovision Song Contest to people’s doorsteps so we can all take part in this historic moment and enjoy the magic of Eurovision as one.”

Thousands were disappointed to be without tickets, but hopefully, the events across the UK will be just as enjoyable.

Though there will be viewings in 30 cities, there are still many to be announced. Keep an eye on your local city’s news and updates to see if they’ll be getting involved.

Already, 9 cities have been announced to hold official screens, with more to come. Many of them competed to host the competition but will have to settle for the next best thing.

Screenings have been confirmed in:

Edinburgh and London are also expected to host official viewings. However, this has not been confirmed yet.

Exact scheduling and ticket pricing will depend on each event. Considerable cheaper than tickets to the live event, many of the official screenings have free entry, with others changing less than £10 to attend. Most will also have food stalls, bars and live entertainment before the show starts as well.

There’s no need to sit on the sofa this year, get yourself to a Eurovision party instead!
