Although many of us were talking about Spotify Wrapped last week, the die-hard Apple fans have stuck to their grounds. It turns out they may be more of a reason to make the switch with the Apple One subscription. But how much is it in the UK and what exactly do you get?
We all know how popular iPhones are, but they’re not the only Apple product catching people’s attention. The Apple Watch is the most popular smartwatch in the world, with a third of those of have an iPhone also owning an Apple Watch.
However, though their hardware is different and impressive, it’s certainly not the only thing Apple offers. They have a lot of subscriptions, including Apple Music and iCloud.
If you have a subscription to one or more of these, then maybe you should consider getting an Apple One Subscription.
What Do You Get With An Apple One Subscription?
There are three types of subscriptions. Though they all offer practically the same thing, there are some differences.
Individual Plan:
With the individual plan, you get access to Apple Music, tv+, Apple Arcade and iCloud+ with 50GB of storage.
Family Plan:
The family plan can be used by 6 people altogether and you get all the same perks as the individual plan, but with 200GB of iCloud+ storage.
Premier Plan:
This is an individual plan, but you get access to even more. With the premier subscription, you also get News+ and Fitness+, as well as a whopping 2TB of iCloud+ storage. You can also share this with up to five other people.
How Much is Apple One In The UK?
As each plan offers you something different, each subscription has a different price. With some Apple products, there is no conversion rates so UK buyers pay more for the product than in the US. Luckily, this isn’t the case for Apple One
The individual plan costs £16.95 a month for access to the four subscriptions, which is a saving of £7 per month. For the family plan, you save £9 per month at a price of £22.95 for six people. This is a lot cheaper than if you were to buy six individual plans.
The premier plan is more expensive as it offers more and is still available for six people. This will cost you £32.95 a month, but that does save you £23 a month as you have access to Fitness+.
Is There A Free Trial?
Apple offers a free trial for their subscription, but it’s only on services that you haven’t already had a trial for before. For example, if you’ve already used your Apple Music free trial and then signed up, you can’t just get another free trial for it again.
The trial is for a month and will automatically charge you at the end if you forget to cancel it. Even if you don’t want to subscribe to all of them, it’s a great way to see what subscriptions you actually get on with for the future.
How To Get Apple One
Make sure your device is updated to at least iOS 14, or Big Sur on your Mac, otherwise it can’t be downloaded.
Then, just head to the Apple One section of the website and you can start your free trial there. It’ll get you to ‘purchase’ it with your Apple ID and then be implemented on all your devices. Try the individual, family or premier plan for a month and see which ones are your favourites.
