We’re all looking for ways to help the planet and Starbucks are taking the efforts further with its new green drink holder. No, not actually green, but eco-friendly Starbucks glass cups that US fans are loving. It comes after the recycled glass cup hit stores, but now UK lovers of the coffee franchise want to know when they’re coming here.
Often, the US gets stuff before the UK does. It makes sense, there are a lot more people there and franchises and chains have a lot more stores. However, it can feel like we’re missing out. Starbucks’ reusable cups have always been popular with their cool designs, with some that can even be personalised.
Not only does it mean you can have your very own Starbucks cup, but it’s also a lot better for the planet than getting a new cup each time. Well, the coffee chain has stepped it up and has introduced sturdier glass cups which fans are showing off all over TikTok.
Starbucks Introduces Spring Collection
As the season changes, the Starbucks limited edition range changes too. That means we now have a pastel spring collection for all of your drink needs. Whether you’re ready for iced coffee, or the weather is still too cold for that, you can get a cold cup, a tumbler or even a mug. One of the cold cups looks like a watermelon, whilst another is a colourful chequered dream.
In Starbucks’ press release, which you can see for yourself here, the franchise stays that it’s only available in the US.
However, this TikTok shows that the UK has got their own Starbucks Spring collection, full of amazing purples and greens to welcome in the warmer season. It’s unlikely that we’ll be getting the ones released in the US, but you might prefer these ones anyway!
Are Starbucks Eco Friendly Glass Cups Available In The UK?
Currently, it doesn’t seem like the Starbucks glass cups are available in the UK. However, that doesn’t mean that they won’t be at some point.
The Starbucks glass cups haven’t been officially confirmed by the franchise, possibly because they aren’t limited edition. It looks as if the new eco-friendly cups are here to stay permanently, with those in the US and Canada loving the design.
Simply, the cold cup is a glass container with a white lid and straw. The tumbler is stainless steel whilst the mug is ceramic, all of the editions are sustainable and made with recycled materials!
In the comments, the TikToker confirms that the glass cup costs $19.95. Though that’s a little steep, its worth it for the reusable cup discount if you like the look of it.
If you’re in the US, the Starbucks eco friendly cups are already out. Those in the UK will have to cross their fingers that it will come over here sometime soon!
