Keeping fit is great for your physical and mental health. However, if you are like me, going to the gym regularly can become quite boring as well as being a significant financial commitment.
Going to different classes inspired me to get fit differently. Many classes have different activities and here are a few of my favourites.
By going to classes which are far more unique than simply running on a treadmill, it sometimes feels like you are not even working at all.
Have a read and see if any of these take your fancy. If they do, look them up in your local area as they are not specific to one certain location.
School Games Fitness
Being in primary school, I’m sure everybody played similar games on their lunch break.
This ranged from dodgeball to British bulldog, and capture the flag.
Classes such as this ignite the inner child, as we form teams to play some of our beloved school games.
Personally, my favourite is dodgeball. Playing this even at an older age is incredibly enjoyable, as well as being extremely good exercise.
Have a Google in your local area, as this is a class that has swept the nation recently.
It goes to show that, no matter your age, you truly never grow out of those really enjoyable playground games that you were taught when you were young.

Ballet for Fitness
If you love ballet, or even if you don’t, doing any 60-minute class in this specific dance style can be extremely beneficial for your flexibility and core strength.
It incorporates classical ballet techniques to aid in toning and sculpting your physique. Yet it also provides a workout to increase some flexibility that you might have lost over recent years.
This is a class I would highly recommend, as the hour goes extremely quickly due to you concentrating on trying to be the best ballet dancer you can.
Pole Dancing
This is one of the more intense and athletically challenging classes that I have attended. Yet it is also definitely one of the most enjoyable.
Reclaiming the pole has been a movement that has been at the forefront of fitness classes over the last couple of years.
Pole dancing takes an extreme amount of body strength. Learning how to do this is a really fun yet challenging exercise for all.
