The Apple app store constantly gives us amazing games to get our teeth into. But, if you find yourself asking your friends “do you have any good games?” because you’ve completed Candy Crush yet again, then take a look through this list and get downloading.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you will have definitely heard of Among Us. This app was launched in 2018, however the Covid-19 pandemic saw a massive rise in its popularity, with millions of people playing the multiplayer game together, from the comfort of their homes.
Among Us is a multiplayer game that sees a group of up to 14 players try to complete tasks. Up to three of these players will secretly be chosen as a “Imposter”, whose job it is to disrupt tasks and kill off their teammates.
The other people must work together to either complete all the tasks or figure out who the imposter is and kick them off the spaceship.
While it is not as popular as it was in the height of 2020, the beloved app has lingered in people’s minds and still has a huge amount of people playing it.

Beyond a Steel Sky
Available only on Apple Arcade, Beyond a Steel Sky is the highly anticipated follow-up to the 1994 game Beneath a Steel Sky.
The game, set ten years after Beneath a Steel Sky, follows Robert Foster as he returns Union City looking for a kidnapped child. However, Foster quickly realises that the city is not as it once was.
After its release on Apple Arcade, the game became available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Windows, Nintendo Switch and macOS.
PUBG: Miramar
PlayerUnknown’s Battleground, or PUBG is a massively success franchise. In 2021, the game was labelled the best-selling video game on PC and the fourth highest-grossing mobile game ever.
In 2022, we were gifted with a new map called Miramar on the mobile app.
PUBG is a player versus player shooting game, played with up to one hundred players in a Battle Royale, last man standing concept. Similar to Fortnite, players can join solo, as a duo, or with a team of up to four players.
After parachuting from a plane, players must scavenge for weapons, armour and other equipment.
Rymdkapsel
This 2013 app gained success in 2022, with people hailing it for its accessible, yet unique style.
Rymdkapsel means “space capsule” in Swedish, which perfectly captures the aesthetic of this app.
Rymdkapsel sees players having to build their own space station in a Tetris-style plan. While workers build the station, players must find resources and defend against attacks. If all of your station workers are killed, the game reaches its end.
