Although we all love using Instagram, there’s no obvious way to see your Instagram profile views. Other social media have introduced a similar feature, and Instagram Stories have been doing it for years. However, we all want to know who’s stalking our profiles, or if they can see us doing it too. We can tell you how to see who views your Instagram profile so you can keep track in the future.
It might be a forbidden power, but that doesn’t stop us from wanting to know.
Twitter now shows how many people see your tweets and you can see who has viewed your Instagram stories. But now people want to know their Instagram profile views. The knowledge may be too much, with you constantly checking. Or, you may discover a secret admirer or distant friend. Eitherway, the curiosity is out there.
Can You See Who Views Your Instagram Profile?
Unfortunately, Instagram does not let you see who’s viewed your profile, or anyone else’s.
Instagram is also very clear in the Data Policy that any third-party apps claiming to show you your Instagram profile views are not being honest. Instagram does not allow third parties to access information about your followers:
“Apps and websites that you use may receive your list of Facebook friends if you choose to share it with them. But apps and websites that you use will not be able to receive any other information about your Facebook friends from you, or information about any of your Instagram followers.”
The only accounts that can access profile views on Instagram are business accounts and admin pages. However, this is statistical data and non-specific. The only way to may yourself publicly known is to comment, like and share on accounts.
So, as long as you are careful when looking up an ex and don’t accidentally like anything, there is no legitimate way of them finding out.
Currently, there are no plans for Meta to implement a feature like this across any of their platforms.

How To See Who Views Your Instagram Stories
The only way you can see views on your Instagram is through your stories. So, if you’re someone who uses your stories more than your grid, then there’s not much you can ask for!
As you’ll know, stories are visible for 24 hours. Instagram views are also available for 24 hours, so if you’re curious you’ll only have a day to check who’s been keeping an eye on your antics.
Though it’s not the same as your Instagram profile views, it’s better than nothing. All you have to do is click on your story circle and a little bubble will appear at the bottom of each story you’ve uploaded. Click that, and you’ll be able to see who’s viewed each of your stories.
Don’t be too hard on yourself if the number isn’t want you wanted it to be, or a certain person hasn’t seen it. Your social media is for you! Though it’s tempting just to show off all the best bits, that’s not accurate and not everybody is always going to be interested in what you’re doing all the time. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t share it though!
Don’t get caught up in all the numbers, and just use your Instagram and other social media as your digital diary. Even if we all secretly want to know who is viewing our profiles.
