Everybody is excited about the new Barbie movie coming out in July. This was only escalated after the new trailer was released yesterday (April 4) along with the Barbie character posters. What’s even better is that you can now get involved yourself and create your own with the Barbie selfie generator.
There are two major films coming out on July 1, both of which are highly anticipated. However, only one has iconic character posters that fans can now recreate.
We were swept away by the trailer and Barbie character posters released yesterday. It seems director Greta Gerwig truly fell in love with British TV over lockdown as loads of the Sex Education cast amongst other British stars are in the film. However, now you can pretend you are too by making yourself a Barbie, or ‘Just Ken’ with the selfie generator.
The Barbie Character Posters Show Off Iconic Cast
We knew that this film had famous faces, but we didn’t know quite how many until the character posters were released yesterday. Each Barbie, Ken and even Allan took over Instagram as we got a proper look at all the different dolls we’ll be seeing.
Released in three batches (because there are just that many!) the Barbie character posters show us the Barbies, Kens, and humans in the film. Of course, we’ve got Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, but we also have the new Doctor Ncuti Gatwa. Joining the Sex Education Alumni are Emma Mackey and Connor Swindells.
Bigger names also involved are Emerald Fennell, Simu Liu and Kate McKinnon. Oh, and we also have Michael Cera as Allan (it’s best just to look it up).
Coming on July 21, the cinemas are set to be jam-packed as Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is also out that day. Two very different films with very different vibes, it’s a matter of choosing which one you’ll see first.
