April Fool’s Day Pranks To Do Before Midday

Students aren’t exactly known for getting up early when they don’t need to, but it’s worth it for the perfect April Fool’s Day prank. The following ideas are funny, easy and don’t go too far; there’s no worth than pranking someone at the expense of serious embarrassment or stress on your victim. It’s meant to be funny after all!

Prank your classmates and flatmates with these simple tricks on April 1. Just remember, you need to do it before midday or else it’s bad luck. And no one needs any curses when they’ve got exams coming up…

  1. Food Gone Bad

This one only requires some green or blue food dye and some particularly porous food. Offer to make your flatmate a sandwich or even a slice of cake, but add a few drops of food dye to make it seem like it’s gone a little mouldy. When they realise and are rightly disgusted, you can present them with an actual piece to make up for it!

2. Oh No Oreos

This one won’t require any extra ingredients unless you don’t have Oreos or another time of sandwich biscuit in your flat. If you don’t, then you should be fixing that right away regardless. Carefully prise the two cookies apart and remove the cream filling and replace it with something a little less tasty. This could be butter, toothpaste or anything else that’s lying around. Present it to your uni friends with a cup of tea and watch their faces react to the foul filling.

3. Bubbles No More

Now, this one only works if you keep bars of soap in the house. So, if you like the idea of this one then you’ll have to plant them early to avoid suspicion. Depending on how many people you want to get with your April Fool’s Day prank, you’ll also need a bottle or two of clear nail polish. The night before, collect any bars of soap and thoroughly dry them off. Then, coat them in a layer or two of the nail polish, wait for it to dry and then return them to where they should be. When your flatmates come to use them in the morning, they won’t lather up at all.

4. The Sweet And Salty Classic

If you haven’t done this one before, then April Fool’s Day 2023 is the time to try it. Simple yet not-so-sweet, replace the sugar in your house with salt! You don’t have to replace the whole pot if you don’t want to as that it a bit of a hassle, but when making tea and coffee, pop in a teaspoon of salt instead of sugar! Just don’t through away the sugar and remember where you hide it for later.

5. Picture Perfect Prank

If you have a particularly sentimental roommate, then this could be the April Fool’s prank for you. All you have to do is print off different photos of celebrities, characters etc and put them into the frames holding pictures of loved ones! You don’t need to move the old photos, so there’s no danger of damaging them or losing them. The trick here is to try and get pictures which are the same size and use similar colours so that it takes a little while for your friends to realise. Start now and replace a photo each day until April 1 so that it’s really effective!

Now you have some funny April Fool’s jokes and pranks, there’s nothing stopping you from having a hilarious morning when the big day comes. Whoever said April 1 was just for kids definitely needs a little more fun in their life!
