How To Delete A TikTok Account

First, open the app and navigate to your profile by selecting the icon of the person on the bottom right. Then, select the three bars at the top right of your profile page. Next, select ‘settings and privacy’ which is marked with the gear icon. Choose ‘account’ at the top of the menu and then tap ‘deactivate or delete account.’ You will then be able to choose whether you would like to delete your account completely or just deactivate it. Deactivating will make your account invisible to others, with the option to later reactivate it without losing your data. Deleting your account will get rid of your data permanently. However, if you change your mind within 30 days, you will be able to reactivate. An alternative way to do this is to download your data separately, that way you can change your mind even after the 30 days has elapsed.

How To Delete A TikTok Account If You Can’t Log In

Unfortunately, it is not possible to delete a TikTok account if you are not logged into it. However, if you have forgotten your username or password, you can ask for a reset, which will allow you to log in with a new password. Go to the login page and then choose ‘Forgot Password?’ From there, a confirmation will be sent either to your phone number or your email, depending on which one you signed up with when you first made the account. You can follow the instructions to reset your password, and then you will be able to log in. From there, you can delete your account by following the steps above.
