No matter your hair length, the thought of shaving it all off has crossed everyone’s mind at some point. Obviously, it’s a big decision which you could easily regret. Coming to the rescue once again is TikTok with its buzz cut filter. Here’s how to do the effect using the app and capcut.

No matter how much we like our hair, it can get on our nerves. The thought of getting rid of it all can seem like the only solution, but most of us decided against it. Now, you can make more of an informed decision using a filter and find that you’d look great with a buzz cut.

How To Do The TikTok Buzz Cut Filter

If you’re thinking of heading into the summer festivals with a fresh hairstyle, feeling the breeze on the tops of your ears (and head), then here’s how to try out the look without making the full commitment.

This filter isn’t actually available in TikTok, so you’ll have to download the Faceapp app to get the buzz cut effect, just like the long hair TikTok filter. However, the app as well as other social media platforms offer a bald effect if even a buzz cut won’t do.

To try out this effect, ensure you’ve got Faceapp on your device and then head to hairstyles. Once you’ve located it, you need to scroll to Haircut. Select the effect to get the buzz cut on the photo you’ve chosen.

It’s best to use a photo you’ve already got so that the effect works best in Capcut.

If you find there are some issues with removing all your hair, then you can always use a rubber tool on Lightroom or more to get rid of it.

After that, go into Capcut, and use the effect everyone else has. You can find it by clicking on a TikTok video that’s used it which will take you straight to the edit on the app.

Once you’ve got all your material, simply upload it and watch your followers be baffled by your new hairstyle.

Some Have Taken The Buzz Cut Filter To Another Level

Maybe they’d already tried the effect, or perhaps they were ready to commit. Eitherway, some who are using the #buzzcutfilter hashtag have actually shaved all their hair off and are trying to trick their followers.

Captioning the video ‘looks so real’ to mess with commenters, we don’t think the hair will reappear anytime soon.

Another played the same prank with a very similar caption. Imagine the weight off your head getting rid of all that hair.

Maybe you’ll be brave enough to do it without the filter like the two guys above. We definitely recommend testing it out before shaving off all your hair. Unfortunately, it’s a look that some can pull off and others just can’t.
